NYFW Day 1 – Green Velvet

A little green velvet for my first day of New York Fashion Week 2016! This being my first trip I was so excited to just be within the city and all it has to offer during this time. I was able to mix work (day job) and play (blogging) and get a little exploring in as well. For our first day we jumped in backstage at Tome and got to see where the makeup and hair magic happens thanks to Aveda. The models were all so gorgeous and not to mention fun (see blonde model photo below). It was the perfect way to get the day started. I wore a green velvet dress via Zara and a white button down short sleeve shirt from Akira. Layering is always an easy way to spice up an outfit. I also was living in these red heeled boots which were the perfect POP of color to a lot of my looks. I’m super excited to share the rest of my trip with you along with my looks! I have to say, having something to really dress up for outside of the everyday wear was a lot of fun haha.
