Printed Shirt Dress – &Other Stories | White Vintage Levis – Thrifted | Basket Bucket Kiwi – Cafune | ORY Sunglasses – Dickmoby Amsterdam | Kensie Sandal Heel – Chinese Laundry
Ok guys so I”m trying to expand my wardrobe into an amazing array of colorful accessories and printed pieces and this look definitely succeeded in that. I recently visited &Other Stories which has an incredible Spring selection of basics and on trend unique pieces for the season. There’s something about putting on such a stand out piece like this tropical printed shirt dress that has you holding your head high as you go about your day. I received a ton of compliments on it and I definitely feel it put a smile on some people’s faces. I styled this shirt dress a little differently as you can tell and I think it fits in nicely with the entire look I was going for. I tend to find that shirt dresses can either be too boxy and overbearing if they aren’t short enough, but also somewhat uncomfortable if they are too short (i.e. you can’t really bend over at all or lift your arms up). I decided that this shirt has such a tropical vacation like flair that I should wear it as an off shoulder blouse. All you really need to do in this instance is unbutton about 3 of the top buttons (or however many you need) and shift the shirt to your shoulders pulling the blouse lower in the back and higher in the front so it sits nicely. Again, this might be different for those with differing chest sizes so just make sure you play around, but for me this is what works! Next we cue these white torn up Levi’s I recently got at the flea market and these epic accessories and you’ve got a vacation ready look that is also fun to wear about the city. I’m also fairly obsessed with this Cafune bucket bag that, well, literally looks like a tiny bucket. I chose this dark olive coloring which has really brought some life into this look. I love being able to bounce different colored accessories off one another to create a really different look when you are feeling a tad spicy.
