Quick little outfit today that I am absolutely in love with. I got both of these pieces from Zara during the Black Friday promotion. The checkered high waisted pants are my new favorites so expect to see them in a lot of Instagram / Blog posts! I was hesitant to believe they were actually high waisted based on the website images (you can never fully trust those can you) along with Zaras reputation for mislabeling things as high waisted. There’s a clear difference between high-rise and high waisted haha. I was pleased to find out that these were actually high waisted and that the sweater was just as cool looking as it was online. I topped off my look with a tan beret to combat having a terrible hair day due to the high Santa Ana winds going on. I really love putting together an outfit like this, one that makes you feel confident, comfortable and trendy all at the same time. The best part about this day was heading to Target after work where the sweetest girl stopped me to give me a compliment on my outfit. It’s really moments like these that make me happy to get up and get dressed everyday. As I’ve mentioned before, I had a really hard time with shyness as a kid even leading up to High School and College days. Wearing fun and trendy clothing was always a great way for me to express myself along with creating a great conversation starter between myself and new people.
