It’s my third trip out to New York for Fashion Week and it’s becoming more comfortable each and every time. I’ll admit, I love reading bloggers accounts of the event and seeing their perspectives on everything. There are definitely those who live for Fashion Week’s and those who would rather admire from afar. I can understand both sides of it and respect the fact that it’s not for everyone. My first year was a big learning process with little to no activities lined up but gave me the opportunity to learn, network and try and understand how this whole NYFW thing worked. My second trip was a lot more activity driven but again, a big learning process when it came to networking, styling looks and understanding where to stay and how to travel and schedule shows and presentations. This third year has definitely been the most relaxed, our schedules weren’t too packed and we understood that most importantly our well being was the highest priority. Making sure we ate on time, had some down time to just relax and get caught up on work and to have some fun in between! I get major anxiety so it was important for me to feel that no matter what, we were going to have a great time, capture some amazing content and not worry too much that we hit each and every show or presentation we had lined up. Here’s a little look into how each day went plus some images of what I was wearing and most importantly a video below that captures a ton of the shows I attended! Also a big thanks to Arlo Soho for being our home away from home and providing a really great location to be able to stop into in between shows and presentations. Hope you enjoy 🙂
Day 1
This day consisted of a really exhausting day considering we flew in on a red eye flight and arrived at around 7:30 am. We were greeted by snowfall and a lot of rain. Luckily our schedule was pretty mellow. We stopped by our favorite breakfast spot Epistrophy for some brunch, had some matcha with a brand associate and then headed back to the hotel to get ready before zipping off to the French Connection presentation and Moon Choi presentation. Overall it was a good day to have considering the lack of sleep we endured.
Day 2
Our busiest day of our trip and the most fun. This day was filled with mainly shows and a few presentations in between! We first stopped by the Colovos show at Spring Studios which also featured one of my favorite brands ATP Atelier. After viewing their latest Fall collection we headed back to the hotel for a little relaxation before our next show Collina Strada and then straight to my favorite show of the trip, Creatures of Comfort.
Day 3
Last and final day for us, we decided to take a slower day and start off at Dimes for breakfast then pop into the Nanushka showroom to see their INCREDIBLE fall collection since we would miss their presentation on Sunday. From there we decided to take a little pit stop to the Metropolitan Museum of Art then pop back into Epistrophy for dinner and drinks.
