Khaki & Khaki?

I always laugh because I definitely didn’t go to school for any sort of fashion, art, or design focus so my knowledge of things like the color wheel are really minimal. What I have come to notice is my confusion on what terms are deemed “appropriate” for the color of an article of clothing. For example: lavender and lilac. Apparently they have different undertones that I had no idea about prior to Googling it right before I wrote this. Another confusing term to me is “Khaki” which from time to time shows up as a more brown color and then on occasion a green color. Who knows. So I have thus deemed this post “Khaki & Khaki” since I can definitely see both of these as Khaki (even though I’m pretty sure they aren’t but hey it gave me inspiration for a blog post title and those are hard to make sometimes)

This look is another full River Island outfit and I really wanted to pair two very structured pieces together to get this final look. One of my favorite elements of this outfit are the SHOES. They have snakes on them and very much remind me of a Gucci like sandal. I can easily see these being worn with jeans and a t-shirt as well. I also love these kind of deconstructed tailored tops that create a casual look with a traditionally structured shape. It’s been nice being able to wear more Spring inspired pieces as well, giving into the California sun lately and walking around without a coat really does feel right.
