The Perfect Beach and Transition Bags: Lo & Sons
I’ve been a fan of Lo & Sons since I was introduced to them years ago. They have a wonderful array of handbags & carry on bags that are perfect for traveling. For weekends away, carry-ons for the plane, or just a nice big beach bag to take with you, these bags are a one and done kind of deal. I wanted to challenge some of their bags to show you guys how they can easily be used for not only long distance travel, but for a fun little stay cation. As you know, I’m from Southern California and I’m now very much a beach gal (thanks husband!) but I’m also a big planner so I need to take every little necessity with me to have a good time. Take a peak at the bags below!
Catalina Deluxe Tote:
So I was really excited to receive this bag, mainly because I have the Catalina Deluxe (perfect for a weekend trip or as a carry on for the plane) but I wanted something a little smaller that could be used for more everyday traveling, basically the perfect beach and transition bags. Being a blogger you can definitely tell that there are times where you strategize a photoshoot and have to bring multiple looks. I have found that utilizing Lo & Sons Catalina Deluxe Tote works like a charm. You have a great compartment for your shoes that doesn’t get them smashed around your bag. Plus the shoes don’t get your garments dirty which is huge when you are committing to driving miles and miles to take photos of them. What I was most excited for however is taking this bag with me to the beach! It’s very roomy in the top so I can store all of our snacks, any lightweight sweaters for when it cools down, plus some good reading material (I’m currently reading The Woman in the Window). The bottom compartment is perfect for any sandy shoes or towels and it has a removable padded insert that can quickly and easily be wiped down and shaken out.
The Waverley:
After a relaxing time at the beach it was time to grab some grub. It’s always hard transitioning from beach wear to street wear but for myself I just threw on a really cute skirt and called it a day! Especially when you are traveling to resort like places (think Hawaii, Mexico, etc.) you don’t want to be weighed down with a huge handbag. Also if you are traveling anywhere new, it’s always nice to have your important items super close at hand (pickpockets are no joke). I don’t have a really cute waist bag so I was thrilled to try this one out! It’s awesome because you can adjust it to fit your waist and whether you’d prefer to wear it higher or lower. I also think the shape is really flattering for this kind of wear.
One of the things I always manage to do when I travel is to bring a small handbag and a larger more “carry all” bag that my smaller bag can actually fit into. Lo & Sons definitely has some wonderful pieces that are timeless in appearance and functionality.
