Light brown bardot stripe knit top – River Island | Denim Pencil Skirt – &Other Stories | Reebok Classic Leather – Urban Outfitters | Vienna Cat Eye Sunglasses – Free People | Lubo Croc Effect Belt Bag – Nanushka |
Going for a really easy going look here that’s bringing me back a bit to a few years ago. I got this off shoulder bardot sweater from River Island that has a little bit of sporty detailing with the stripes (I say that lightly because I don’t know nor have ever played actual sports except for fun). It’s been unbearably warm lately but luckily pairing this top with a white denim mini skirt and bringing back to life my Gucci belt and some sneakers made it for a really easy look to wear to my office. Also might I add, I am really into wearing sneakers with all my outfits lately. I wore these Reebok classics most of my trip to San Diego and considering we did a ton of dancing and walking they made me think long and hard every morning thereafter as to why I wouldn’t choose sneakers vs. heels. I don’t think I could ever pick one over the other but I have definitely been leaning more towards sneakers lately. I got so many compliments on this sweater while I was running errands so I gotta say that River Island has done it yet again. They have it styled on their site with some matching knit pants which would also be A LOOK but for those who are not as comfortable styling a somewhat “pajama” like look I’d recommend styling with shorts, a denim mini skirt (as seen) or even some high waisted Levi’s for a Friday night out.
I also picked up this incredible fanny pack / belt bag from Nanushka that I had been eyeing for a few months now. I stopped by Platform LA over the weekend (finally) and was excited to stop by the Nanushka pop-up. They were having some amazing discounts and I got this bag for A STEAL. Highly recommend checking it out! I love how a good belt bag or fanny pack can elevate your outfit. This sweater and skirt combination is pretty casual and “safe” in some regards but having an accessory like this bag can help add something different. Plus people are still telling me how they love the fact that these bags are coming back to life but are unsure of how to wear them. Let me just say you can actually wear them with anything! I am carrying mine in these photos like a normal handbag and I think it looks relatively cool haha. Another great way to wear it is across your chest or, of course, on your waist.
