Favorite Swimwear Brands of 2019
I think I really enjoy writing this post every year because I finally feel comfortable in swimsuits again! No this has nothing to do with my body but kind of. As I’m getting older my body is changing and looking different as everyones does. With that I think I just have a different preference when it comes to fits and styles for swim. In the past few years, swim styles haven’t always connected with me and while the swim might be OK, it just never made me feel good or confident.
I really love that for whatever reason, this swim season I’m seeing SO many new and different styles that have really made me enjoy wearing swimwear again! I’m excited to share a few brands that have really resonated with me style wise and even print wise for this season!
Sidway Swim
I came across this brand a few years ago and got a really cute plunging one piece. While it was a gorgeous piece I think my lack of boobs just made it really uneasy for me to wear, I’d say if you were a B-C it would be perfect. I have though in recent years been LOVING their cuts, and prints! Their high waisted bottoms fit perfectly and I love a good high leg/high waist combo which is my absolute favorite cut for swim right now! Their two piece tops are also really flattering and perfect for all combinations of bust sizes.
Zulu & Zephyr
A secondary swimwear brand I’m loving right now is Zulu & Zephyr. I wore a suit from them in Hawaii and it was not only comfy but super cute! They have the perfect mix of comfort & coverage but also a little more sexy and sporty looking styles. Nowadays there’s a lot more fashionable and low coverage suits (which I also love) but it’s nice when you are going to a family event or something with more activity (water slides) where you can wear cute suits that are still functional.
Hunza G
I recently came across this swimwear brand right before my trip to Hawaii. I unfortunately wasn’t able to order the pieces with enough time to arrive prior to my trip but it is 100% on my wish list. Hunza G has the cutest one size fits all suits that are created out of super stretchy fabric that hold their shape and don’t leave harsh lines! They look so good on everyone and I really need to get my hands on some. I specifically love their one shoulder one pieces and high waisted bottoms.
LSpace
I have known about LSpace for quite some time but I have no clue why it took me so long to own one of their pieces! I was gifted 2 different suits and both are so flattering on! I have to say they are probably my favorite swimsuits to date. Not only do they have a variation in styles but even their underwire suit which I thought would not fit these A cups actually was pulled off nicely by me! Just goes to show that their designs are pretty universal across a multitude of shapes and preferences.
