With every passing year I find myself more and more leaning towards purchasing pieces for my home and less on buying a bunch of clothing pieces. While I’m still very much a clothing shopper (can’t ever stop won’t ever stop) I find a lot of value in getting really great pieces for my home. What’s really included in that is tableware. I’m coming up on my four year wedding anniversary and while we got some nice pieces of plates, bowls, etc during that time, I’ve come to the point where I need to retire some of my hand me downs and upgrade some of my tableware.

That being said, when I was introduced to Year & Day I instantly became drawn to their simple designs, beautiful colors, and reasonable pricing. When it comes to tableware for myself I go for a more neutral palette but I still love incorporating colors. What I loved the most about the color options here are that they are muted and perfectly fit to mix and match. I decided to set up a little breakfast situation with their low serving bowl and small plates. My favorite piece from what I received is the silverware. I picked up a few of the matte black flatware and love how it looks on the table with everything, it really completes the entire table.
