A Reebok Classic

Who doesn’t love a classic? When I think of anything classic I go immediately to an original and iconic piece. Whether it’s music (rock for me) or pieces of clothing or accessories there are so many pieces we now attribute to being a “classic”. I was recently gifted a pair of Reebok Classic leather sneakers which I’ve actually had in the past (wore them to pieces) and was excited to find a new and unique way to show you how to style them. Sneakers have really made a comeback when it comes to, ahem, ‘adult fashion’ and most of us have taken notice. While city dwellers are rolling their eyes at this “revelation” it truly is a more recent comeback when it comes to individuals feeling more accepted by sneakers for everyday wear.

We are seeing sneakers appear in runways, at fashion weeks, on models, paired with suits, dresses, you name it. Not to mention with today’s workplaces becoming more flexible with dress codes you can get away with wearing sneakers in a lot of instances. What I love the most about the Reebok Classic is that it has the perfect shape for a sneaker to be worn casually as well as high fashion. I decided for my particular look was to pair the shoes with a floral maxi dress. I wanted the shoes to make a statement with their stark white leather while giving this overly feminine silhouette a little bit of masculinity. I also threw on an oversized blazer and small bag to complete this done yet “undone” look. This was my first pair of sneakers I got to wear with my “fashionable” outfits since they not only had the perfect silhouette but they were SO comfortable. It’s nice for once when fashion and comfort actually work together!
