I wanted to jump on here and talk about a luxury resale website called Tradesy. I love shopping second hand when it comes to luxury items. For one, it’s much more sustainable, secondly it’s a lot more inexpensive than shopping direct with up to 90% off retail, and thirdly you can find previous/past seasons that might have been sold out or discontinued! What I love the most about shopping on Tradesy is how easy it is to search for brands and even particular items you might be looking for. On top of that I feel really secure in knowing they have a great authentication process so you know what you are paying for is real.
It’s really easy to search for either a specific piece or designer by using the filtering system or if you don’t have a particular item in mind you are looking for I love checking out the new arrivals tab. Usually I have a game plan when it comes to shopping on Tradesy and it starts off by looking for a particular item like handbags or loafers. Lately I’ve been focusing on Louis Vuitton handbags and Prada loafers. I had been eyeing this Louis Vuitton croissant bag and was happy to see a variety of options with various price points on Tradesy. I’ve been saving for awhile to make this purchase so I’m so happy to see they had a ton available! From there I will see what’s available and sometimes jump onto various sellers shops. It’s always nice when you can find sellers that really fit in well with your particular style. You can easily follow users to get alerts on new uploads.
On that note I want to talk a bit about selling. I love the ability to follow particular users on this platform and especially seeing content creators or influencers that utilize the platform you can hopefully snag some of their pieces for a good price point. Tradesy collects the lowest commission fees in the space so you can earn more on what you sell. I build a strong connection with all the pieces in my wardrobe so when it’s time to part ways I like knowing that they are being sent to a good home where they can serve a new purpose. My goal of 2021 is to continue pushing for purchasing second hand and Tradesy’s selection really is making that goal easy to attain.
